How to prepare for your appointment! Follow these tips in order to get the best results.

  • Do come in with your hair freshly washed, detangled, down, and completely dry.
  • Don’t come in with your hair in a ponytail, bun, twist out, roller set, perm-rod set, etc, or any style that stretches or changes your hair’s natural curl patter.
  • Don’t brush or comb out your hair the day of your service.
  • Don’t use products that are excessively sticky or greasy/oily; Example, shea butter or coconut oil.

If you arrive with your hair wet or tangled there will be an upcharge of $25 for every 15 minutes of pre-drying or detangling. If hair is not properly prepared, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment along with a rescheduling fee of 50% of your service.

Damaged Hair

  • If you have hair that has been damaged due to relaxer, texturizer, keratin treatment, color, heat, extensions, braids, or neglect. We will do all that we can to help you transition into healthy hair. We are here to help! Please be patient and understand that it can take several visits and haircuts to reach your hair goals. CONDITIONING TREATMENTS are intended as a luxury for hair that is either already healthy or has experienced minimal damage such as long exposure to the sun, winter dryness, etc. NOT to repair severely damaged hair from relaxers, texturizers, keratin treatments, color, heat, extensions, braids or neglect.

* Curly Cut Prep: Clean, 100% Dry, Down, Detangled and No Product Deva haircuts and returning Devacurl haircuts: We require your curls to be clean, 100% dry, detangled, and down in their natural state. If you have used butters or oils, please clarify before your appointment. No buns, braids or ponytails on the day of your appointment.  Extra charges do apply for extra time if hair isn’t as previously requested. We also have additional charges for late arrivals causing extra time to be needed. If curls are not in above condition we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. *
